Drawing and your brain (w10)

I drew this part of the assignment last because drawing with someone else seemed more fun but this was actually my favorite. I messed up with the green from an earlier project and I was bummed because I wanted to put Beach drive there with the the u-shape facing downward. Instead I decided I should just make a circle and it ended up being a pool? Or at least something I remember smelling a pool? Anyway, I then instantly thought of Robeks juice and for some reason completely forgot about the sculpture we used to always meet up at. Hmm I guess I forgot a couple details… this experience was thrilling, I eventually realized I was drawing the “unimportant” buildings the largest and the ones I am actually familiar with last and tiny. I wonder why I chose the foreign path first. This was really cool.

I found this assignment so wholesome. I have been home with my family so much lately but oddly enough we’ve been doing our own thing, not really spending time together. I sat my sister down and hyped this activity up and demanded she have fun with me . Haha. She instantly gave in, we put on our favorite tunes and started dancing with the markers. The funny part is we thought we were dancing together, in sync, when we finally looked down, we realized it was not synchronized at all. The masterpiece turned out looking like the sound waves of the music. I really enjoyed the freedom of not trying to create anything particularly pleasant or “beautiful” and feeling that the act was still worth doing.
