2. My group chose an elevated view of a healthy and vibrant tree. This form of art is kind of like a snapshot or closer look to an everyday scenery that is unappreciated. The tree itself made a statement as it was very tall and very full of leaves almost plump looking. It represents success and beauty as the vibrant green and muted brown of the branches fill in the lines of the shape of the tree.
3. Our art, was art before we layed eyes on it. However it may not have been interpreted the way we did before in its lifetime. I believe the size and magnitude of the tree was strategically placed in such a focal point by the landscape artists. It feel very much in the right place.
4. The beauty we highlighted within a frame will still be there but it may continue to go unnoticed. It is difficult to say that it is still art because many associate art with exhibitions since they believe those pieces are there because it was decided by some magical artist that it deserved to be there. Art is different for everyone and some may not view this as art even as it appears in the image above. But to me it is still art with or without the frame.
5. Art can be dependent on the body of the object just as we have chosen to admire the tree although other objects fall within the frame. However many factors are present in determining whether something is art or not.
6. Art can be anything, it is completely tailored to each persons view and perspectives. An example of something I consider art that isn’t an object is music. The simple tone and melody can evoke so many beautiful emotions without even seeing the creator of the music.
7. I strongly believe that art does reside in the experience of the viewer. Even if people deny their place in expression and judgement and may follow mainstream concepts of what is considered art, at the end of the day you will only feel a unique emotion/strong connection to what you believe in and what is beautiful to you.
